SUMMARY: Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the Town of Oliver (the “Town”) invites Proposals from contractors that are experienced in performing siding replacement work on heritage buildings in British Columbia, to perform works to remove and replace approximately 300 square metres of exterior siding/façade which consists of cedar shake, ship-lap and trim, plus associated works, at the Chamber of Commerce Building, located at 6431 Station Street, Oliver, BC. Full details of the Work required is provided in Division 7, plus Exhibit A of this RFP. A summary of the Work is as follows: Contract Time: The following are key milestone dates required for the Work: • The Work may commence anytime after: August 11, 2024 • The Work must be fully complete and Ready-For-Takeover no later than: September 20, 2024 so that the building is ready in-time for the Town’s ‘Festival of the Grape’ on September 22, 2024. Form of Contract: The Form of Contract to be executed between the Town and the Contractor for the Work will be the CCDC2 – 2020 Stipulated Price Contract, as modified by Supplementary Conditions herein.
