SUMMARY:

Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the City of Merritt (the “City”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, interested in performing repairs to riprap around two bridge locations (Houston Street Bridge, and Main Street Bridge) in Merritt, BC.  The Work includes supply and placement of rip-rap, re-vegetation of disturbed areas, and associated works. Full details of the Work required is provided in Part A of this RFP.  A summary of the Work is as follows:

Location: The Place of the Work is on the Coldwater River, in the vicinity of both the Houston Street Bridge and the Main Street Bridge in Merritt, BC, as shown on the Drawings.

Contract Time: The following are key milestone dates required for the Work:

• The Work may commence anytime on or after: July 18, 2023
• All In-stream Work, as defined in the attached Reference Documents, must be completed within the Section 11 Fish Window of July 22^nd to August 1^st, 2023 (inclusive).  There will be no exceptions to this.
• Substantial Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than: August 15, 2023
• Total Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than: August 25, 2023

Form of Contract: The Contract placed as a result of this RFP will be the MMCD (Master Municipal Construction Documents) 2019 Unit Price Contract, together with supplementary conditions as detailed in Part C of this RFP.
